About this class

This course builds students’ confidence and accuracy in using English for study, work, and everyday life, and prepares them for the Cambridge IGCSE English as a Second Language examination. Students develop all four language skills (reading, writing, listening, and speaking) through authentic texts, discussion, and regular exam-style practice, with the aim of being able to communicate clearly and effectively in a wide range of real-world situations.

View profile

I’m Anita, a Cambridge tutor in English, and Business Studies for Primary Checkpoint, Lower Secondary Checkpoint and IGCSE students. I also teach Mathematics. I have 7 years experience in teaching. Before moving into teaching, I spent 20 years in corporate roles in internal auditing, risk management and internal control. That background shapes how I teach: I’m used to breaking complex problems into clear steps, spotting where the logic breaks down, and explaining concepts in plain language.

Questions parents ask

What's the difference between Monthly Access and Session Credits?

Monthly Access: A fixed monthly fee covers the class's scheduled sessions. The recurring place stays reserved while access remains active.

Session Credits: Prepay for projected upcoming sessions using credits. Credits keep flexible session use clear while charges follow the class schedule shown above.

Each tutor chooses the pricing model for their class, so it can vary between classes.

What is the cancellation and rescheduling policy?

Monthly Access: Cancel at least 24 hours before the first class of the month and you won't be charged — your payment is returned as BreviLearn credit. If you cancel mid-month, sessions continue until the end of the month and access ends at month end. No BreviLearn credit is issued for remaining sessions.

Session Credits: Cancel at least 24 hours before a scheduled session to cancel or reschedule with the tutor. Unused session credits are returned as BreviLearn credit.
