SPM English (1119) is aligned to the CEFR, aiming at levels B1 to B2, and has four papers worth 25% each: Reading and Use of English (1 hour 30 minutes), Writing (1 hour 30 minutes, three tasks), Speaking (about 12 minutes) and Listening (40 minutes). The speaking test is held weeks before the written papers.
Because a quarter of the grade comes from speaking and another quarter from listening, regular practice in speaking and listening — not only essays and comprehension — makes a real difference. Online classes suit this well, since students speak and listen in every lesson.
