About SPM Mathematics
SPM Mathematics (1449) covers content from Form 1 to Form 5. Paper 1 is 40 multiple-choice questions in 1 hour 30 minutes. Paper 2 is 2 hours 30 minutes for 100 marks: ten compulsory questions in Section A, five longer compulsory questions in Section B and one of two extended questions in Section C. A non-programmable scientific calculator is allowed.
Because Paper 2 rewards working and the higher-order (KBAT) questions, practising past-year papers under time and checking answers against the marking scheme matters as much as learning the topics. Additional Mathematics is a separate SPM subject with its own papers.
