Cambridge IGCSE English as a Second Language is offered in Malaysia as 0510 and 0511, graded A* to G in June and November. Both have a 2-hour Reading and Writing paper (60 marks), a Listening paper of about 50 minutes (40 marks) and a 10–15 minute Speaking test (40 marks).

The difference is speaking. In 0510, Reading and Writing count for 70% and Listening for 30%, and Speaking gets a separate endorsement grade from 1 to 5. The writing tasks are an informal email and a formal article, report, essay or review of 120–160 words each.
